Belize
Belize is home to fabulous
archeological ruins and stunning white sand
beaches. Adventurous eco-travelers and scuba diving enthusiasts will
delight in Ambergris
Caye, one of the best kept secrets in Central
America.
Check out Ambrigris
Caye where the kids are picked up for school in golf carts. The beaches
are nice here but not expansive. You don't go for the beaches,
you go for the water sports. Deep sea fishing is very popular here-inside
and outside of reef. The Cayes are a great place to try out scuba diving
and maybe even get your certification while you are there. |

Home to the second largest barrier reef in
the world. Talk about fabulous diving and snorkeling...
Belize is amazing, so much to do in the out
of doors. Cruise ships have recently started going into Belize city
which is good and bad. They are bringing many tourists to the country
which is good for the economy, but on the other hand, the country is
not quite as unique and cutting edge anymore. The true way to see Belize
is to go and tour the mainland for 4 or 5 days and then head out to
one of the Cayes. The mainland has everything from jungle river trips
(and we mean jungle- you will crocs, monkeys and many species of birds),
cave tubing, canopy tours, day trips to Guatamala, and the list goes
on. Not many of the roads are paved so a four wheel drive is best.
Belize is a country to explore. There is virtually no shopping (except
where the cruise ship folks disembark).

Panoramic Beauty- Costa
Rica, located in the tropical latitudes and bordered by the Caribbean
Sea and Pacific
Ocean, is a small mountainous country on
the narrow Central American isthmus. Costa Rica's magnificent scenery
unfolds in a panorama
of forested mountains, stunning skies,
pastoral countryside, and mysterious volcanoes.
The climate in Costa Rica is idyllic - 80's in the lowlands, 70's in the middle elevations, and 50's at the top of the mountains. Rain usually comes in short afternoon cloudbursts.
In the Northwest area of Guanacaste, you can swim in warm, tropical waters or soak up the sun on palm tree-lined beaches. Take an aerial tram tour of the rain forest, where lush vegetation and wildlife abound. Trek through one of the many national parks where you'll spot brightly colored birds and flowers. Witness leatherback turtles nesting on the beach. Gaze at towering volcanos, many of them still active, throughout the Guanacaste region. Visitors to the Arenal Volcano are often treated to the volcano's dazzling pyrotechnical display. Anglers will find some of the best blue water and inshore fishing in the world. If you're in search of a combination of history, culture, and natural beauty, look to the Guanacaste area.
If you're drawn to the excitement of big city life, the bustling capital of San Jose provides an ideal base camp. Glass-mirrored high-rises, stuccoed bungalows, cozy restaurants, lively nightclubs, and classic theaters flourish within the city limits. San Jose's central location allows visitors to seek refuge from city life and experience day trips to private ranches for horseback tours, mountain hikes, or kayaking excursions. For an adventure of a lifetime filled with beauty, natural treasures, and friendly people (known as Tico's), now is the time to visit Costa Rica.
Check it out.
